As everyone knows by now on our Grand Opening Day Saturday 8th August we will be holding challenges and a workout to raise funds for charity. All profit's raised on this day will be donated to the Starlight Childrens Foundation Australia!
"Each year there are over 600,000 child admissions made to hospitals across Australia. Sadly, Starlight reaches only '1 in 3' of these children. Starlight's ultimate goal is to reach each and every child.
As a not-for-profit charity Starlight relies entirely on the support of the community and the generosity of supporters to exist."
The cost for entering the day's challenges/wod and activities will be $20 payed on the day followed by a BBQ to raise money for Starlight.

I'm gonna have to scale the weight on the HPCs unfortunately. Can't seem to get past 30kgs, and its starting to annoy the hell outa me!! But the double unders will be a good challenge. Mine go something like 1, 2, miss, 1, 2, miss, swear, 1, miss, swear.
Inez, I hope to be there to train with you, but I only just got home from work and its 1:30am, so no promises! Haha.
I'm there man....its gonna be fun....I'll bring some grog.

Tracey, im with you, I will be scaling it down to suit me too :) I can pick 40kg up but it stops there.. :P

Im suggesting the scaling Nez - I don't want to be spending the full day with the kids! That'll kill me!

Had a great time last night, good to have some solid instruction on those oly lifts. Also good to meet you guys, calves are better now thanks Carter. Will remember to drink water from now on, and not do the Crossfit Endurance WOD before going SFX!

The DUs were a killer this morning - where were you Robyn, Bren and I were looking forward to catching up with you!! :-)
Claire, your times this morning were great. My first round took my nearly 6 minutes! The second took me 4mins and after that I got the hang of DUs. I though I was going to be there until saturday.
On a personal note, I got a PB on my dealifts after the WOD. Its only 70kg but I was so glad to finally crack the 70. And it can only go up from here.
Ali: I'm soooooooooooo with you on that one. I might need to take my breaky :P

and calves are killing me from burpees yesterday.
well done on your PB Tracey! I hope I can lift that much once I start building my weights up - only come back to training this week after about 4 weeks off.....I know my calves are going to kill tomorrow after the DUs
No probs Inez, I didn't get there until nearly 10am anyway. One of these days we'll do a WOD together! If its a bodyweight type one I may be able to keep up. anything with heavy lifting you'll leave me behind though, so be prepared for that!

oops! I should also add that I did 30 DU's instead of 50. I'd still be there if I'd done 50 :P
13.17 with 20 kg HPCs and because I haven't mastered the DUs (yet!) I did 150 singles each round.. couldn't do it in primary school, and still can't do it! haha. ouch astrid - good on you for doing 30 still!

my legs and forearms hurt from all the whip marks. Scored a wicked migraine post wod. Reckon I must have been straining my neck trying to get the double unders. Still happy with that effort.
Round 4 was the worst as I tasted the satay from late lunch in my mouth
