walking lunges...ouch! My butt muscles already hurt just at the thought of doing them hahah
6 rounds as rx'd. (plus extra 20 metres on the rower - that totally counts :-) It was great to see some new faces this morning! Found myself staring at that 40kgs hoping it would get lighter a couple of times! Thanks for the encouragement Jono and Cheng to help me snap out of it!

Only 20kg overhead...was so annoyed that I couldnt get the 30kg up....but will do so next time. Ali - your a machine mate ;) and thanks guys for the coaching..

Man those push presses were tough, lucky I had the bumpers to help with those failed reps, it really made a huge difference.
My apologies for all the swearing and grunting this morning, I needed to get aggressive in order to press the 60kgs otherwise I dont think I would have made it through the WOD.
Good to be back in training at last! Looking forward to regaining my fitness after the last few weeks off and to start lifting heavier weights. Thanks for the class and helping us join up this morning.
Great work out this morning. Claire's and my first one back for awhile, and my first full work out for a couple of months after back injury! Thanks Cheng & Jono for the training was great!
Fingers we're freezing during the warm-up run outside around the island (funny how its called a warm-up run when its bloody freezing outside at 6am)

5 rounds using 30kg. Really disappointed.
The funnny thing is the first round took me 6mins! After that I got the hang of the push presses and really picked up the pace. I had hoped to go heavier, but obviously I have some work to do.
Cheers for the workout. It was great to throw in some strength after all the metcon workouts I've been doing at globo.
Hope you enjoyed your time at the gym - Hope you dont mind training alone as well. 6 rounds is great..did u have abit of a play around with the bumpers?

after my exp. with "nicole", my advice is to go heavier and drop down when you need too....

1st rnd at 30kg, 2nd rnd at 30 for 3 reps and 20kg for 9 reps, rest of the rnds at 25kg.. shoulda gone the whole way thru at 25kg but my fat head said no i can do 30kg.. pfft.. stupid head..
I think you did GREAT Robyn. I had sooooo many work outs that I under estimated, over estimated, and had to change the loads in between, its okay - its good to do that! trial and error.
next time - we know. Ask Cheng , I always do that.

Nez you know sometimes Males find it hard to say nice things out loud, but just know that they are thinking it silently:) Cheng just wants you to do your best all the time and he is very proud of you too !!

My body was just not getting the technique tonight, but secretly I think it was my head not getting it. dip drive sounds easy enough, but tonight it was beyond me, I wish i could see what I was actaully doing.
PS great work everyone. the 5:30 crew was going hard core when i got there, looked awesome.

Had a pretty serious case of hypoglycemia post training and fainted and spewed... got home and had a pretty bad siezure and couldnt speak... was crazy! didnt know what was happening to me.
Got sent to emergency but they thought i was high and was told to just sit and wait till it wears off... went home (girlfriend is a doc)
haha should prepare better for next class (might give it a few days)
