Second Week
By now hopefully we are on track and have a good understanding of what we can and can't eat. Experiment with stuff now, mix stuff together and throw in a few spices here and there.
It is great to hear that everyone is doing some of there own research as well. Own your body and tell your mind/stomach that you don't need that chocolate or that sugar filled drink just as you have told your limbs to pick up that bar one more time or to punch out that last push up during a WOD. Compare what you are going through now to what you have gone through in a WOD or even life and ask yourself is it really that bad, is it really that hard or am I being a big sissy?

Mint Chocolate Ice
Ingredients
2 cups water
1 bunch mint leaves
2½ tbs honey
3 tbs cocoa powder
Instructions
Over medium heat, place water, mint leaves and
honey.
Simmer for 5-10 minutes or until mint flavour has
become strong in the liquid. Remove mint leaves
and leave to cool slightly.
In a cup, mix together cocoa powder with 3 tbs of
mint water, removing any lumps. Stir well into the
remaining mint water.
Leave liquid to cool to room temperate before
placing into an ice-cream container / freezer proof
container. Place in the freezer for 2 hours then
break mixture into crystals with a fork and place
back into the freezer.
Continue this process every 40 minutes until the
container is filled with flavoured crushed ice. (If you
wish to freeze the mixture overnight, leave mixture
out to soften 30 minutes before breaking up the
crystals for the first time.)
B=left over frittata, watermelon, rockmelon and kiwi fruit
L= tuna & salad, watermelon & rockmelon
D= Taco's... mince, homemade taco seasoning (way spicy) placed mince in lettuce leaves, diced tomatoes and homemade guacomale. yummmo... but confession No.1 = the mince was way too hot so I had a glass of milk so I could continue eating my dinner. Next time won't make the mince so hot/spicy.
Robyn that choc mint ice sounds delicious will have to try that sometime.
Erin - highly recommend it.. I eat it by itself and it really gets rid of the choc cravings.. Lhani said it is also good with strawberries.. =)
Choc cake, mint ice and strawberries is mmmmmmmm
